About this care
After-school care (BSO) de Tamboerijn is located just a 1-minute walk from primary school de Veenvogel in Nieuwveen. De Tamboerijn consists of several groups with a maximum of 62 children aged 4 to 13 years.
Currently, hard work is underway developing IKC Het Veen, where education, childcare and recreation will come together under one roof.
The after-school care (BSO) has a cosy and relaxed atmosphere that ensures children feel safe and at home. There are various spaces and play corners. Children are free to choose a structured activity or free play. Sculpting a candle holder with clay and leaves, baking French toast, having fun with the Barbies or building a mega construction from Kapla? Drawing, crafting, or playing a game? The possibilities are endless. There is also plenty of room and attention for nature on each group: planting seeds, harvesting strawberries, building a bug hotel, and more.
De Tamboerijn has a permanent team of staff members, with familiar faces on every group. The staff encourage children to try new things, so they can build on existing skills and develop new ones. And of course, having fun is the top priority!
Our location has multiple outdoor play areas with plenty of options, so there is always something fun for every child to do. Cycling, building dens, playing football, growing their own vegetables, playing in the sandpit, and much more! The staff offer children activities, but also find it very important that children themselves say what they want to do; after-school care (BSO) time is free time, after all! At BSO de Tamboerijn it's gezellig and we have lots of fun!
During the school holidays, we offer a full day programme packed with varied, exciting and relaxing activities. These extra activities and workshops make every holiday a big celebration!Read more
