About this care
BSO De Steltloper is part of SKDD and is located at Akkerweg 40b in Driebergen-Rijsenburg. Our after-school care is housed in dedicated spaces adjacent to the primary school classrooms, making it a familiar place for children. We provide care for children aged 4 to 13 years in two core groups: BSO Eigen (4-6 years) and BSO Wijs (7-13 years).
At BSO De Steltloper, the child is at the center of everything we do. We offer a challenging and varied activity program where children have the freedom to choose whether to participate in activities or engage in free play. Our pedagogical staff organize a new theme each month with appropriate activities. Sports and games are important pillars in our offerings. We have a partnership agreement with Football Club De Wilper Boys and offer sports and games activities on the football field on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
In addition to sports, we also offer creative activities such as arts and crafts and cooking, musical activities and nature education. Children can read a book, participate in group games or work out their own ideas. We believe that children develop their personality and talents in their 'own way'.
Our care services include before-school care (7:00-8:30 AM), after-school care (2:00-6:00 PM), Wednesday and Friday afternoon care (12:00-6:00 PM), holiday care (7:00 AM-6:00 PM) and flexible care. Summary
BSO De Steltloper in Driebergen-Rijsenburg is part of Stichting SKDD and provides after-school care (BSO) for up to 50 children aged 4 to 13 years. The annual inspection of 9 March 2026 showed that the location was immediately compliant in the area of 'staffing and groups'. In the area of 'pedagogical climate', the location became compliant after a recovery offer. The pedagogical policy lacked concrete descriptions of activities in which children leave their base group and of cross-center childcare on school-free days. After a recovery offer with a 2-week deadline, the provider amended the location work plan (received 24 March 2026), thereby resolving the shortcomings. The pedagogical practice is assessed as responsible: children have a varied range of activities, there is attention for social skills, and staff actively guide children. All staff members meet qualification requirements and the personnel register is in order.
