BSO de Schipper

BSO de Schipper is located at Koningsplein 7 in the heart of old IJmuiden and is operated by Zoople Velsen B.V. We provide after-school care for up to 44 children aged 4 to 12 years. Our location has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since 28 February 2022 under number 144078107. We offer a safe home base where children can simply be themselves and do not have to do anything after a long school day. Our pedagogical staff approach every child in an encouraging and warm manner, take feelings seriously and make every child feel valued. Play is central: through play children make friends, learn about the world, practise social rules and develop imagination and creativity. In addition to after-school care, we also provide before-school care (VSO) from 7.30 to 8.30 a.m. We work intensively with primary school De Klipper, which is housed on the same premises. This allows children to walk straight to the BSO room after school without extra transport. We do not pick up or drop off children from or to other schools; our service is exclusively for pupils of De Klipper. Children have plenty of freedom of choice with us. We offer varied activities every day, but it is up to the child to decide whether to participate. Just lounging on the sofa with a book is of course also allowed. Our pedagogical staff organise and guide group activities, but are also available for individual attention. In this way we create a rich play-and-learn environment that matches the interests and needs of every child.
