About this care
Welcome to BSO De Kameleon, located in Kindcentrum De Kameleon at Leliestraat 28 in the heart of Terneuzen. Our child center is a unique place where education, childcare and neighborhood functions seamlessly come together. We provide before and after school care (BSO) for children aged 4 to 12 who attend the connected primary school. Our team of pedagogical staff works closely with the teachers of the affiliated primary school, so we already know the children well and can optimally support their development.
After school, children can come to us in a safe, homely environment. We start calmly with a healthy snack and a chat about the day. Then the children choose what they want to do: free play in the spacious indoor play area, creative activities in the craft corner, or playing outside in our green garden. We regularly organize fun activities tailored to the age and interests of the children. During school holidays and study days we are open all day from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, so parents are always assured of childcare.
Our child center is more than just childcare. We are a central point in the neighborhood where children get opportunities to develop into who they are. BSO De Kameleon in Terneuzen (Stichting Kinderopvang Zeeuws-Vlaanderen) received its annual unannounced Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection on 22 October 2025. The after-school care (BSO) offers a maximum of 22 places in a multifunctional school building with its own indoor space, school hall, and outdoor play area. All assessed quality requirements were met: pedagogical climate, safety & health, and parental rights. The pedagogical and safety policies are up to date, staff work in accordance with them, all employees are correctly registered and certified, the reporting protocol for domestic violence is in place and known, first aid qualification is always present, parents receive complete information, there is an active parent committee and a functioning complaints procedure with affiliation to the Childcare Disputes Committee. No violations or areas for improvement identified.
