About this care
BSO De Harlekijn is located at Strijthagerweg 10 in Landgraaf and is part of Humankind childcare. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12, Monday through Friday from 07:30 to 18:30. Our location works closely with OBS Harlekijn primary school, offering care before and after school hours. Children are picked up directly from the school building and can play, relax, and develop within the same safe environment.
We believe every child should feel welcome and be able to be themselves. Active communication with parents and caregivers is central to our approach. Our pedagogical staff create a familiar atmosphere where children can unwind after school while also discovering new things. BSO De Harlekijn is situated on the grounds of OBS Harlekijn, with whom we collaborate closely. This ensures a smooth and familiar transition from school to after-school care. Children can walk directly to the care facility after school without needing additional transport or unfamiliar locations. We offer care from Monday to Friday, aligned with the school schedule and holidays of OBS Harlekijn.

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected after-school care (BSO) De Harlekijn in Landgraaf on 16 July 2026. The after-school care, part of Stichting Humankind, accommodates 44 children aged 4 to 12 years. Overall, the location performs well in meeting quality requirements. The pedagogical climate, personnel matters, and the domestic violence and child abuse reporting protocol were found to be immediately compliant. However, one violation was identified in the area of safety and health: broken glass from a greenhouse in the outdoor area posed a risk to children. The provider made use of the recovery offer and cleaned up the shards immediately. The pane has been replaced and the risk has been incorporated into the safety policy. After remediation, this area is now also compliant. The GGD advises the municipality not to take enforcement action.
