BSO de Gearing is a small-scale after-school care facility located at De Skeperij 35 in the village of Ie (Ee) in the municipality of Noardeast-Fryslân. We provide care for up to 22 children aged 4 to 12 years. Our BSO has been registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK) under number 899221956 since 1 October 2023. We are open on Mondays and Thursdays from 14:30 to 18:15, allowing children to play, relax and discover new things in a familiar environment after school.

The pedagogical policy is clear and is implemented through a foundation-wide plan with a practical location-specific elaboration. The pedagogical practice offers children emotional safety, developmental challenge and social guidance. All staff hold the correct diplomas, Certificate of Conduct (Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag/VOG) and meet the language requirement. The staff-to-child ratio is always in order, there is a backup arrangement when only one supervisor is present, and someone with first aid (EHBO) is always on site. No trainees or otherwise unqualified persons work within the ratio. Each child has an assigned mentor who keeps parents informed. No violations or areas for improvement identified.
