Summary

After-school care (BSO) De Drie Turven/De Opsteker in Nieuwlande (municipality of Hoogeveen) was inspected unannounced on 17 March 2025. The annual supervision review focused on pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and accommodation. All assessed statutory requirements were met: the pedagogical policy is known to the team, staff and child registrations are in order, staffing levels always meet the standard (even during brief understaffing, backup staff are present within 15 minutes), and the indoor and outdoor spaces are safe, spacious (140.6 m² indoors) and appropriately furnished for a maximum of 20 children aged 4–13. No violations were identified. The organisation operates with one fixed core group; each child has a mentor and parents can always turn to staff with questions. No recovery offer was required. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality not to undertake enforcement action.
