Summary

BSO De Dassen in Wedde provides after-school care (BSO) for up to 30 children aged 4–12 at Kindcentrum de Vlonder. During the annual unannounced inspection visit on 3 July 2025, the location was found to meet statutory quality requirements in all areas (staff & groups, accommodation). There was one shortcoming: the pedagogical policy did not include a description of the maximum size of base groups. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) issued a recovery offer for this; the provider submitted an amended location guide within the set timeframe that does state the maximum size, thereby resolving the violation. The accommodation is safe and more than adequate (≥3.5 m² indoor and ≥3 m² outdoor play space per child), all staff hold a valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG), and the staff-to-child ratio is in order. The municipality of Westerwolde is advised not to take enforcement action.
