Summary

This follow-up inspection of after-school care (BSO) De Buitenboel in Reutum was conducted on 8 October 2025 following an earlier finding of insufficient indoor play space per child. At the annual inspection on 26 June 2025, it was found that with 84.56 m² of play space and 25 children, the location offered only 3.3 m² per child, while 3.5 m² is mandatory. Mitigating circumstances were granted to the operator, who had assumed the original allocation was correct. In this follow-up inspection, new floor plans from the future operator were assessed, showing 92 m² of play surface after deducting the stairwell and sanitary facilities. The location now complies with the standard of 3.5 m² per child.
