De Boshut ‘t Woud is our after-school care (BSO) location at Boslaan 38 in Zuidhorn. We provide out-of-school care for up to 36 children aged 4 to 12. Our dedicated team of pedagogical staff makes sure every child feels at home in a warm, safe environment.
After school, children are welcomed with a healthy snack and some quiet time before choosing their own activities. We offer a varied programme of fun, original activities and educational themes. Our holiday programme is especially popular, featuring creative crafts, sports and games in our garden, and regular excursions to nearby nature spots.
Our spaces include a cosy corner with cushions and books for relaxing, a creative table for arts and crafts, and plenty of room for building and playing. We believe every child is unique and deserves to be seen. We encourage children to make their own choices and work together.

Summary
De Boshut 't Woud is an after-school care facility (BSO) in Zuidhorn offering 36 childcare places for children aged 4-7, operating from two temporary classrooms on the grounds of primary school de Brug since January 2023. During the annual inspection by GGD Groningen (Municipal Health Service Groningen), the location was found to meet all assessed quality requirements regarding pedagogical climate, staff and groups. No shortcomings or violations were identified. The location has a pedagogical policy describing its vision and working methods, and operates in accordance with this plan. All childcare professionals, interns and volunteers hold a valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and are registered in the childcare personnel register. Children are cared for in two core groups (Woudlopers and Spoorzoekers), each with a mentor as a fixed point of contact. This is the first annual inspection without any identified shortcomings; in the three previous inspections (2023, 2024 and 2025), one shortcoming was identified on each occasion and subsequently resolved through a recovery offer.
