Summary

This inspection report concerns an incidental investigation into the after-school care (BSO) De Boomhut in Hengelo (Gld), carried out by GGD Noord- en Oost-Gelderland on behalf of the municipality of Bronckhorst. The investigation was conducted following a request to increase childcare places from 30 to 78. During the site visit, it became apparent that the available space was insufficient for 78 childcare places. After consultation with the provider, the number of places was adjusted to 70. The location otherwise meets the statutory requirements regarding pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, and accommodation. The pedagogical policy plan has been adapted to the new situation. Children are placed in core groups with a mentor per child. The indoor and outdoor spaces are safe and appropriately furnished.
