About this care
BSO Beatrix is located in the Beatrixschool building at Smidsweg 49 in Ermelo. We provide Christian before- and after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. Our BSO has two dedicated spaces within the school: a large hall for creative and sports activities, and a quiet area for relaxation and homework support. We operate from a Christian identity, focusing on care for one another and mutual respect. Our pedagogical staff organize daily activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor play, and games. We regularly use the school garden and nearby green areas for nature and outdoor activities. During school weeks and holidays, we are open from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM. We provide healthy lunches and snacks, taking into account any food allergies. Summary
The unannounced follow-up inspection on 9 March 2026 at after-school care (BSO) Beatrix in Ermelo focused on shortcomings identified during the annual inspection of 1 December 2025 in the areas of pedagogical climate, safety and health, and parent rights. All three shortcomings have since been resolved. Regarding pedagogical policy, this concerned agreements with the primary school about walking routes. For safety and health, there were unsafe situations caused by stacked furniture and staff members' personal belongings in the group area. Regarding parent rights, a staff member was incorrectly serving as chair of the parent committee, and signed regulations were missing. The location has taken appropriate measures: signs on doors, removal of stacked furniture, coat racks for children, and a parent as the new chair of the parent committee.
