About this care
Welcome to Dak Kosmos After-School Care on Withuysstraat 4 in The Hague. Our homely location provides out-of-school care for up to thirty children aged 4 to 12. The bright and welcoming rooms make every child feel at home right away.
With us, there is never enough time! Children can enjoy cooking together in our kids’ kitchen, play games or romp around in our green garden. We offer a varied activity programme that puts children’s own initiative first. Our experienced pedagogical staff guide the children with enthusiasm and care.
We work closely with the primary schools in the immediate area, ensuring a smooth transition from school to after-school care. Children are picked up and given time to relax with a drink and a healthy snack. Afterwards they decide for themselves what they want to do: crafts, building, sports or simply hanging out with friends.
Dak Kosmos is part of Dak Kindercentra, a reliable organisation that has been providing childcare in the neighbourhood for over 25 years. Summary
After-school care (BSO) Dak Kosmos in 's-Gravenhage, part of Stichting DAK kindercentra, was inspected by GGD Haaglanden on 5 February 2026. The location provides care for a maximum of 28 children aged 4-8 on the first floor of the Gerth van Wijkschool. Overall, the location complies with legislation and regulations, with a good pedagogical climate and correct staffing levels. One violation was identified regarding mandatory reporting, consultation, and disclosure obligations: staff were insufficiently aware of the option to contact the confidential inspector and the obligation to report to the police in case of suspicions about the operator. This is a repeat offense, as the same violation had already been identified on 7 April 2025. The operator disputes the violation and its repeat classification in its response, stating that staff had been informed but were unable to recall the information at that moment. Following the inspection visit, the operator displayed the information visibly in the kitchen. The number of registered childcare places was adjusted from 30 to 28 after the visit due to insufficient indoor space.
