Summary

Dak JFK is a new after-school care (BSO) in 's-Gravenhage with 90 places for children aged 4-12, located in a new building together with JFK primary school. During the first inspection since opening, it emerged that the pedagogical policy is well adhered to: each child has a mentor, parents are actively involved and emotional safety is ensured. All staff hold a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG), are correctly registered in the Childcare Professionals Register (PRK) and there is always at least one paediatric first-aider present. The safety and health policy is current and being implemented; the domestic violence reporting protocol is known to the team. Parents are well informed through the website, intake and tours; there is an active parent committee and a proper complaints procedure. One violation was identified: insufficient staff knowledge of the obligation to report, consult and file charges (moa) when suspecting sexual abuse or mistreatment by the holder. Following a recovery offer, knowledge has since been refreshed through information packages and team discussions; the violation has been terminated. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality to enforce in accordance with policy.
