Welcome to BSO Buitenbende Op Stoom, located at Bergweg 66 in Bloemendaal. Our adventurous after-school club sits right on the edge of the forest and the Kennemer dunes – the perfect playground for budding scouts.
At Buitenbende we rarely stay indoors. We hoist our own Buitenbende flag, learn to navigate by the sun, make fire without a lighter and build – then capture – forts. We also master knots like the bowline and the double sheet bend, because real scouts can always save the day with a piece of rope. We brew nettle soup and bake bread over a campfire. Together we promise: friendly, honest and caring for nature – that is our scout law.
Our qualified pedagogical staff guide up to 40 children aged 4 to 12. We work closely with local schools and provide not only after-school care but also before-school care (VSO) and holiday care. This means our hours fit seamlessly around school times and children are always welcome, even on study days or school holidays.
