About this care
BSO ZieZaZo is located at Van Lawick van Pabstlaan 1a in De Meern. We provide after-school care during the 40 school weeks at a location outside the school. Our qualified staff pick the children up from primary school and bring them to our homely location. There they have all the space to play, relax and grow in a safe and loving environment.
At ZieZaZo we work with horizontal age groups, so our care perfectly matches each child's stage of development. We are inspired by Emmi Pikler: children are allowed to move, discover and develop at their own pace. Our small groups and involved pedagogical staff ensure that every child receives personal attention.
Our goal is to offer a second home where children feel safe, have fun and where parents can leave their child with peace of mind. We find it important that children enjoy coming to the after-school care and can be themselves.

Strengths
- Pedagogical policy is in place and being implemented
- Sufficient qualified staff present in accordance with the staff-child ratio
- All employees hold valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) verifications and are properly registered in the Childcare Personnel Register
- Five base groups with a maximum group size of 12 children, well below the statutory limit of 30
- Each child is assigned a fully qualified mentor
- Sufficient indoor and outdoor space: 3.5 m² indoor and 3 m² outdoor per child
- Safe and stimulating accommodation with various playrooms and adjacent outdoor play area
Summary
After-school care (BSO) ZieZaZo in De Meern was inspected by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) on 18 August 2026. The unannounced annual inspection focused on the domains of Personnel and Groups, and Accommodation. The location, part of LOKOWO B.V. with 55 childcare places across five groups, meets all assessed quality requirements under the Childcare Act. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The GGD advises the municipality of Utrecht not to take enforcement measures.
