About this care

AI
BSO St. Jozef is located inside Kindcentrum St. Jozef at Dijkstraat 6 in Aalten. Since 2022 we have been offering small-scale after-school care for children aged 4 to 13 in partnership with Kindernet. Our BSO consists of three fixed groups: two for younger children (4-7 years) and one for older children (8-13 years). The horizontal group structure ensures that activities and guidance are perfectly tailored to each child’s age and development. We operate Monday to Friday from 14:30 to 18:30. During school holidays and study days we are open from 07:00 to 18:30. Our qualified pedagogical staff collect children from Basisschool St. Jozef and other nearby schools. After school the children can unwind, enjoy a healthy snack and take part in the challenging after-school programme DoenKids!, which focuses on sports, games, creativity and relaxation. The location has a capacity of 36 children. The centre is designed with different corners: a construction area, a quiet reading corner, a creative space and a large garden for outdoor play. Safety and familiarity are paramount; parents and children always see familiar faces and are encouraged to contribute ideas to the programme. Parents can also opt for a warm meal and flexible care days.

GGD Inspection

Violations

Inspection date: February 25, 2026

2
Violations
Partially meets quality requirements. Violations have been identified regarding staff registration and pedagogical policy.

Strengths

  • The premises meet legal requirements: indoor and outdoor spaces are safe and appropriately furnished
  • The staff-child ratio is ensured
  • Staff members hold appropriate qualifications
  • A pedagogical policy has been established and staff act in accordance with it
  • Group size and core group composition comply with regulations

Shortcomings

  • More careful checking of registration and linking of temporary agency workers in the PRK before they start work
  • Reduce reliance on temporary replacement staff from employment agencies
  • Tighten internal procedures for personnel administration

Violations

  • Four temporary agency workers not linked to the holder in the PRK, including one not registered in the PRK while already working from 16-02-2026
  • Pedagogical policy is insufficiently implemented because staff were deployed in violation of the location's own policy rules (VOG and PRK registration)

Summary

At after-school care (BSO) St. Jozef in Aalten, part of Kindernet B.V., the annual inspection on 25 February 2026 found that quality requirements were only partially met. The premises and group size are in order, and the pedagogical climate is positive. However, serious shortcomings were identified in the registration and linking of temporary agency workers in the Childcare Personnel Register (PRK). Four workers were not linked to the holder, including one who was not even registered in the PRK despite having worked since 16 February. This constitutes a violation of the Childcare Act. The holder has taken measures: the unregistered worker is no longer deployed, three workers have since been linked, and the internal procedure has been tightened. The location also no longer uses the employment agency in question. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality to enforce.
