BSO Speelweide is part of IKC de Weide, an integral child center located in the Aldlân-West district of Leeuwarden. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 13, both after school hours and during school holidays. Our address is Raaigras 28, 8935 GH Leeuwarden.
At BSO Speelweide, a familiar atmosphere and a safe environment are central. Children can come here for rest, clarity and structure after a busy school day. We work closely with the primary school within IKC de Weide, making uninterrupted broad development possible for every child.
Our pedagogical staff guide the children with attention and care. We see parents as important partners in guiding the children and good cooperation with parents/guardians is therefore very important to us.

Summary
BSO Speelweide in Leeuwarden, part of Stichting Kinderopvang Friesland, was inspected by GGD Fryslân on 25 August 2026. This was an unannounced annual inspection. The location provides care for 40 children in two fixed groups (ages 4–7 and 6–12) and is housed in a wing of OBS De Weide. All assessed inspection items meet statutory quality requirements. The pedagogical climate, staffing, safety policy, and parent committee were all found to be in order. Previous inspections in 2023, 2024, and 2025 also proceeded without issues. The holder did not make use of the opportunity to submit a statement of views.
