About this care
Welcome to BSO Polderpret Woerdense Verlaat, part of Kinderdagverblijf Polderpret. We provide after-school care on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM for children aged 4 to 13. Our BSO is located in the future Integral Child Centre (IKC) Woerdense Verlaat, together with primary school De Meent and community centre Beatrix.
Our aim is to welcome children into a cosy, homely atmosphere where conviviality, respect for each child’s individuality and room for personal initiative are central. After school, children spend their free time with us, learning and growing in independence through play. Our group has a maximum of 22 children and is supervised by qualified pedagogical staff who offer a wide range of activities.
For the youngest children we focus on play and use inviting corners for exploration. With older children we encourage independence and cater to their specific interests. Therefore, the activity programme is largely determined by the children themselves. We offer arts and crafts, sports and games and creative activities in our spacious garden and the modern IKC building.

- Safety and health policy: children did not eat at the table as prescribed, but walked around and played during meals; additionally, finger protection was missing on a hard-closing internal door
