About this care
BSO Okidoki is part of Kinderopvang Dribbel and is located in the community centre De Stobbe at Lange Kavel 50 in Emmer-Compascuum. We provide small-scale after-school care for up to ten children aged 4 to 12. Our homely, warm atmosphere helps children feel at home quickly.
We are open 52 weeks a year and offer before-school care (before 08:30), after-school care (from 14:00) and holiday care (full or half days). Flexibility is key: you can book individual BSO sessions without being tied to full packages. For holiday care you choose either 6 (excluding summer) or 12 (all) school holiday weeks.
Our BSO room features several play corners: a construction corner with materials like Knexx, Kapla and Lego, a kitchen/dolls corner, a Wii console corner, a games corner and a crafts corner. Outdoor play is an important part of the day; we use the playground around community centre De Stobbe.
Children from our daycare group who are almost 4 years old may β with parental consent β already join the BSO to get used to it, ensuring a smooth transition within one familiar location.

- All staff members hold valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) declarations and have been registered in the Childcare Personnel Register in a timely manner

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) Drenthe conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 10 March 2026 at after-school care (BSO) Okidoki in Emmer-Compascuum, a small-scale after-school care facility with 5 childcare places that forms a childcare center together with daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Dribbel. The location meets the requirements for Certificate of Conduct (VOG)/personnel register, domestic violence reporting protocol, duty to report, consult, and file charges, and parental rights. However, three violations were identified: the pedagogical policy plan lacks a concrete description of the working method and group composition, during the inspection the staff-to-child ratio was incorrect (9 children with 1 staff member in a combination group), and the safety and health policy lacks a concrete course of action for risks. The operator expressed criticism of two findings in their response, but the report was established unchanged.
