About this care
Welcome to BSO Kanjers, our active out-of-school care located at Hernhuttersingel 1 in Zeist. We are part of Kind & Co Ludens, the largest non-profit childcare organisation in the Netherlands. At Kanjers everything revolves around movement, fun and being together. Our unique location lies behind Slot Zeist on the grounds of football club Jonathan. The club’s spacious green pitches are our playground. Every afternoon we organise a sports activity that matches the children’s world of experience. Sometimes we split into age groups, other times we play one big game with the whole group. In addition, there is plenty of room for free play with indoor and outdoor materials.
Our qualified staff pick the children up after school from De Griffel, Comenius and Griffensteyn. For Comenius we walk together to the BSO; for the other schools we use our BSO bus or taxi. We are open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday until 18.30. During all school holidays we welcome children from 07:30 to 18:30. A varied programme awaits with sports, creative workshops, nature activities and excursions. We make sure every child feels at home at Kanjers: a place where you can run, play football, build huts, but also relax with a book or friends. Summary
BSO Kanjers in Zeist, part of Stichting Kind & Co Ludens, is located in a sports canteen and provides after-school care (BSO) for a maximum of 42 children (ages 4-12) in two groups. The annual inspection on 3 March 2026 showed that the location is immediately compliant in the areas of pedagogical climate and staff and groups. For safety and health, compliance was achieved after a recovery offer. A staff member failed to notice that a child was wearing a drawstring bag around their neck, creating a strangulation hazard. After discussion with the supervisory authority, the child was assisted. The provider reviewed the location plan with staff and scheduled an additional meeting. The location has taken adequate measures and now meets the requirements.
