About this care
Welcome to BSO Jungkidz, our small-scale after-school care located at Panoven 60 in IJsselstein. We provide a safe and familiar environment for 40 children aged 4 to 12 years, divided into three groups. Our unique concept combines personal involvement with stimulating each child's creativity.
Children can choose from various activities at our facility. Our theater group 'de Showkidz' works towards a real theater production on a professional stage every block. Additionally, we have an activities group where children can plan their own program together with our staff. We believe this approach helps children discover and develop their talents.
Our pedagogical policy is inspired by progressive educators such as Janusz Korczak, Emmi Pickler, and Aletha Solter. We stand for involvement and safety, taking into account each child's age and interests. As part of Kinderopvang Purkie VOF, we were established from parents' wishes to have after-school care in addition to daycare. Since April 2011, we've been located in the building adjacent to childcare Purkie.
We offer different types of care: 30 places at the activities BSO, divided into a group for children aged 4 to approximately 6 years and a 6+ group. Additionally, there are 10 places at our theater BSO. This way, we can give each child the attention they deserve in a homely and cozy environment.Read more

Summary
The annual inspection of after-school care (BSO) Jungkidz in IJsselstein, part of Kinderopvang Purkie VOF, presents a mixed picture. The location provides care for a maximum of 40 children aged 4 to 7 years. The location meets requirements regarding staffing and groups. The pedagogical climate meets requirements following a recovery offer: the policy for cross-location care was insufficiently described, but was amended following an official indication. Safety and health do not meet requirements due to serious shortcomings in the indoor play equipment: dust on the playhouse roof, a damaged net with suffocation hazard, loose ropes, and missing valid inspection certificates. The accommodation also does not comply due to these related safety deficiencies. There is recurrence of non-compliance, meaning no recovery offer was provided. The provider has taken measures: the damaged net and ropes have been removed, the dust has been cleaned, and a new inspection has been scheduled. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises enforcement.
