About this care
Welcome to BSO IKC de Legeaën, located in the modern Integral Child Center at Aesgewei 56 in Sibrandabuorren. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 years in close collaboration with Mienskipsskoalle De Legeaën. Our BSO is housed in the same sustainable building as the primary school, allowing children to play and relax in a familiar environment immediately after school.
Our childcare professionals Froukje, Wiebrig, Naomie, Rianna and Tjitske are ready to welcome children every weekday. The BSO is open Monday through Friday from 7:15 to 8:30 AM and from 2:15 to 6:15 PM, on Friday afternoons already from 12:00 PM. During school holidays and study days, we remain open so parents can rely on us throughout the year.
IKC de Legeaën is situated in the heart of nature and the Mienskip (community) of the Legeaën. We work from the core values of Connection, Responsibility, Trust, Safety and Sustainable Development. Our location accommodates up to 44 children and has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since July 6, 2020.

Summary
The annual inspection by GGD Fryslân at after-school care (BSO) IKC de Legeaën in Sibrandabuorren, conducted on 19 February 2026, showed a generally well-functioning after-school care facility. The location accommodates 44 children (ages 4-13) and is part of Stichting Kinderopvang Friesland. One violation was identified regarding pedagogical policy: the work plan incorrectly stated that a base group could contain a maximum of 44 children, while the legal maximum is 30. A correct description of the age composition of the two practical groups was also missing. Following a recovery offer, the provider amended the pedagogical work plan, after which the violation was resolved. All other areas (Certificate of Conduct/personnel register, stability of care, safety policy, and reporting code) met the requirements. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
