About this care
BSO Het Kasteel is an after-school care facility operated by Kinderopvang Baloe B.V., located at De Balk 2a in Wormer. We provide care for up to 60 children aged 4 to 12 years. Since February 1, 2011, we have been registered in the National Childcare Register under number 708116127 and meet all legal quality standards.
Our location works closely with primary schools WormerWieken and De Eigen Wijs. Children are picked up after school and cared for in our age-appropriate, specially designed spaces. The after-school care is open Monday through Friday from 07:00 to 18:15.
We offer a safe and familiar environment where children can play, relax, and develop. All meals and drinks we serve are organic and responsibly sourced. Our team of pedagogical staff guides the children with attention and care, tailored to their individual needs.

Summary
GGD Zaanstreek-Waterland conducted an unannounced follow-up inspection at after-school care (BSO) Het Kasteel in Wormer on 26 May 2026. This inspection followed an annual inspection on 18 November 2025 during which four violations were identified. The location cares for children aged 4 to 8.5 years in three groups. All previously identified shortcomings have since been resolved: the number of childcare places has been correctly reported (from 60 to 46), operations are now in line with the pedagogical policy (maximum 12 children in the Zweinstein group), staff are linked in the Childcare Persons Register in time, and a first aider is always present. The indoor play area of 171 m² is now sufficient for the registered number of children. The GGD advises the municipality of Wormerland not to take enforcement action.
