About this care
BSO de Oogappel is located at Fahrenheitstraat 50 in Amersfoort and offers small-scale, professional after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. At our BSO, child development is central. We teach children that it’s okay to ask for help, that working together is stronger than going solo, and that arguing doesn’t solve anything. Every day is a celebration, with fun and safety as our top priorities.
We are open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. We welcome up to 22 children, supervised by two experienced pedagogical staff. Each afternoon starts with a healthy, warm vegetarian meal. Afterwards, we spend at least an hour outside to play, move and enjoy fresh air. For the rest of the time, children choose their own activities: crafting, building, playing together or quietly reading a book.
We follow a pedagogical policy plan approved by the GGD and the municipality of Amersfoort. Every quarter we are inspected for quality and safety. Summary
The follow-up inspection on 17 September 2026 at after-school care (BSO) de Oogappel in Amersfoort shows that the location now meets all assessed requirements. This inspection followed a formal notice issued on 7 July 2026 after an annual inspection on 9 March 2026 in which various shortcomings were identified. The operator implemented the required measures within the set deadline. The pedagogical practice shows positive interactions: staff members greet children personally, guide social skills, and intervene adequately in conflicts. The pedagogical policy has been supplemented with concrete descriptions of group composition and staff-child ratios. The safety and health policy has been elaborated, including risk assessment and measures for new employees. All staff members hold a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and are correctly registered in the PRK. The municipality advised against enforcement action.
