About this care
BSO de Bonte Bende location ’t Oortveld is a small-scale after-school care centre in the heart of Empe. We are part of Ut Trepke B.V. and provide care for up to 20 children aged 4 to 12. Our centre is located at Emperweg 41, right next to the large football field of ’t Oortveld – a perfect spot for outdoor play after school.
We walk to collect the children from nearby primary schools. They wear bright vests and we return together to the BSO. Our qualified staff greet every child with a smile and a listening ear. Inside, there is a spacious, homely group room where children can choose what they want to do: play, craft, read or simply unwind after a long school day. Outside, they can run, play football or romp on the field.
Our opening hours are flexible. During school weeks we are open from 14.15 to 18.00. In school holidays and on study days we provide care from 7.00 to 18.00. We are open all year round, except for official public holidays and two staff training days.
We work closely with primary schools in the area to ensure a smooth transition from school to after-school care. Summary
This follow-up investigation at after-school care (BSO) de Bonte Bende, location 't Oortveld in Empe, followed a written warning from the municipality of Brummen dated 15 December 2025. During the annual inspection on 13 November 2025, four shortcomings were identified: an incorrect listing of 23 childcare places in the pedagogical work plan (while 20 were permitted), the absence of mentor assignments for children, inadequate safety and health policy (annual play equipment inspection and back-up arrangement), and an unsafe outdoor area due to slippery painted surfaces. During this reinspection on 5 February 2026, it was established that the operator has remedied all violations: the work plan has been corrected to 20 childcare places, all children have been assigned a mentor, the play equipment has been inspected by a specialized company, the back-up arrangement has been documented, and the slippery tiles in the outdoor area have been replaced. The location now meets all inspected conditions.
