Summary

The after-school care (BSO) Croco Club in Wassenaar, part of The American School of The Hague, was inspected on 17 November 2025. The after-school care accommodates up to 40 children aged 3–14 and operates with English as the language of instruction. The pedagogical climate meets all requirements: children are greeted personally, are given responsibility during meals, and there is a pleasant atmosphere. The pedagogical policy plan and VOG registration are also in order. However, one violation was identified: the external coach of the pedagogical coach (the school principal) does not hold the required professional qualification under the childcare collective labor agreement (CAO). The holder has objected to this finding and indicated that the principal does in fact hold relevant higher education qualifications. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality to enforce in accordance with the enforcement policy.
