About this care
Welcome to BSO BenBelle Hoogland, our after-school care located at Hamseweg 38 in Hoogland. We provide out-of-school care for children aged 4 to 12 in an environment where the child is at the centre. Our team believes that children learn from and support each other in their development. Therefore we work with mixed-age groups, allowing older children to guide the younger ones and everyone to grow at their own pace.
We are proud of our Nature BSO. We spend a lot of time outdoors: when the weather is nice we play in our large green garden and explore the nature surrounding the location. During special periods we organise a summer camp full of adventurous activities. When we move inside, you will find us in the white building next to the white church on Hamseweg. Inside there is space for crafts, play or simply relaxing.
We pick up children from various primary schools in Hoogland and the surrounding area. Our pedagogical staff wait with a smile on the school playground to safely escort the children to the BSO. - Staff insufficiently aware of duty to report, consult, and file official reports, including the role of the confidential inspector
- Accommodation not safely, accessibly, and appropriately arranged: cluttered kitchen with hazardous objects, loose tabletop, unprotected power outlet, open toolboxes, and general dirtiness and clutter in rooms
Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected after-school care (BSO) BenBelle Hoogland on 7 May 2026. The after-school care for up to 28 children (ages 4–13) complies with the law regarding pedagogical climate immediately. A recovery offer was required for staffing and groups, safety and health, and accommodation. The location has resolved all shortcomings. The pedagogical policy is in order and the staff-to-child ratio complies. Multiple violations were identified regarding hygiene, staff onboarding, the reporting code for domestic violence and child abuse, and the arrangement of the premises. All violations have been resolved following the recovery offer. The GGD advises no enforcement action.
