About this care
Welcome to BSO De Botteloef, located at Overslag 1 in Amsterdam Noord. Our after-school care is part of Combiwel voor Kinderen and is housed in the same building as primary school De Botteloef. This small-scale neighborhood school is situated in a green environment and offers a familiar place where children feel safe and at home.
At BSO De Botteloef, everything revolves around fun, development and togetherness. We offer a varied activity program that matches the age and interests of the children. Our gym invites children to engage in sports and games where they can really let off steam. Every Wednesday is dedicated to cooking: the children come up with dishes themselves and work together in the kitchen. There is also room for creative activities in our studio, where children can paint, craft and build.
Child participation is central to us. We believe it is important that children have a say in their care. This increases their involvement and stimulates independence. During holidays we organize fun outings and children are allowed to help think about the activities. Whether it's a visit to a museum, a scavenger hunt in the forest or a sports tournament, we provide a varied program.
Our permanent team of dedicated pedagogical staff provides a familiar and safe environment. We work intensively with primary school De Botteloef, ensuring a smooth transition from school to after-school care. At BSO De Botteloef, nothing is mandatory, but everything is possible. - On 1 June 2026 between 18:00 and 18:24, no adult with a valid first aid certificate was present; a replacement staff member without certification was alone with 2 children
- On 20 May and 10 June 2026, a staff member from another location without a first aid certificate was deployed alone for the entire afternoon
- The provider fails to comply with Article 1.49(1) and Article 1.50(1)(2)(a) of the Childcare Act (Wet kinderopvang): there is not always an adult present who is qualified to provide first aid to children
Summary
The inspection report for BSO Botteloef, an after-school care (BSO) for up to 20 children aged 4 to 13 in Amsterdam, concerns a follow-up investigation into the presence of an adult with a valid first aid certificate.
