Summary

GGD Gelderland-Zuid conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 10 March 2026 at BSO Beneden-Leeuwen, part of KION Kinderopvang B.V. The location provides after-school care (BSO) for 44 children aged 4-12 at the child centre. The inspection focused on pedagogical policy, staff and groups, safety and health, and accommodation. Although the pedagogical practice was assessed positively, with respectful, responsive guidance of children, one violation was identified: the pedagogical work plan had not been adapted to changes in the care provision (relocation to the first floor and merging of base groups). Following a recovery offer with a deadline of 13 April 2026, the location submitted an amended plan that meets requirements. All other areas (staffing, VOG/PRK, safety policy, reporting protocol, accommodation) were found compliant immediately. There had been a safety incident (a child fell down the stairs), after which work agreements were tightened. The GGD advises no enforcement action.
