Summary

After-school care (BSO) Aquamarijn in Nijmegen, part of KION Kinderopvang B.V., was inspected on 16 December 2025 by Municipal Health Service (GGD) Gelderland-Zuid. This was an unannounced annual investigation in which pedagogical policy, staff and groups, and parental rights were assessed. The location meets all examined quality requirements. The after-school care (BSO) has two base groups with 50 childcare places and provides care on school days and during school holidays. No violations were identified during this inspection. It is noted that during the previous annual investigation (2024), a violation was established regarding non-compliance with the conditions for a parent committee; following a recovery offer, the municipality decided not to enforce. The provider states in their response that this matter has since been resolved and that there is indeed an active parent committee.
