Summary

The Municipal Health Service (GGD) Rotterdam-Rijnmond conducted a follow-up inspection at after-school care (BSO) AquaKids in Schiedam on 4 December 2025. This inspection followed earlier violations identified during the annual inspection on 8 July 2025, when it was found that five employees had worked without registration in the Childcare Persons Register and could not present a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (Verklaring omtrent het gedrag/VOG). The location has taken measures: consultation with Sportbedrijf, agreements on timely VOG applications, assistance with registrations, and periodic consultation. During this follow-up inspection, the violation was found to be resolved: all employees are now properly registered and linked. The GGD advises the municipality of Schiedam not to apply enforcement.
