About this care
Welcome to SKSG Aduard, our small-scale after-school care designed especially for children aged 7 and older in the heart of Aduard. We are located in the former kindergarten at Burg van Barneveldweg 21a, right next to the sports fields. Here, older school children have their own space where they can feel completely at home.
We pick up the children after school from De Adeborg, our partner school. On Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, this location is exclusively for the 7-plus group. On Wednesdays and Fridays we join with the younger children: on Wednesday afternoon the older children stay here, while on Friday afternoon we go to SKSG Adeborg. This keeps the group manageable and familiar.
Play-based learning is central to our approach. We work from six fixed pillars: Sports & Movement, Cooking & Nutrition, Nature & Sustainability, Science & Technology, Art & Culture and Me & The World. Twice a week we organize a sports hour where we run, fly and dance. We regularly go into nature, visit the petting zoo or feel the mud between our toes on the barefoot path. We also love cooking and baking together.
Participation in activities is never mandatory. Children are always free to choose to just chill out, play inside or outside. Does your child have sports or another activity on a BSO day? By arrangement, we are happy to take them to football, swimming or wherever they need to go.
Our doors are not only open on school days. During holidays and inset days, we are there for your child all day long. We then go out, explore new places and make it a party together. Because at SKSG Aduard, every child feels safe and confident to be themselves.Read more
GGD Inspection
Violations
Inspection date: March 23, 2026
Strengths
- The pedagogical policy is implemented according to plan and provides responsible childcare in line with the four core pedagogical objectives
- Sufficient qualified staff with valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) entries and registration in the personnel register
- Staff-to-child ratios are in order
- Parents are well informed through the website and intake interviews
- Inspection reports and complaints procedures are readily accessible
Shortcomings
- Organisation-wide structure for promoting knowledge among flexible staff regarding the reporting code is still under development
Violations
- Knowledge and use of the reporting code for domestic violence and child abuse was not structurally promoted among flexible staff without a fixed location who do not participate in team meetings (resolved after recovery offer)
Summary
SKSG Aduard is an after-school care (BSO) located in a former infant school on the outskirts of Aduard for up to 22 children aged 7 to 12 years. The annual inspection on 23 March 2026 found that the location meets all assessed legal requirements regarding pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, and parental rights. One violation was identified: the knowledge of flexible staff regarding the reporting code for domestic violence and child abuse was not structurally promoted because they did not participate in team meetings. The location manager received a recovery offer and fulfilled it by having flexible staff join meetings in their own district, whilst a structural solution is being developed at organisational level. The advice to the municipality is no enforcement action.
