About this care
Welcome to Basker Schinkelkade (formerly BLOS), our daycare centre in the lively Schinkel neighbourhood in Amsterdam, within walking distance of Vondelpark. Our location is characterised by large windows with views of the Vaart waterway, providing plenty of viewing pleasure for the children. We have a pleasant group room fully equipped for children aged 0-4 years, with challenging toys that stimulate gross and fine motor skills.
In nice weather, we play outside in our cosy courtyard garden. Our pedagogical staff regularly take the children on outings to Vondelpark or a nearby playground with the pushcart. We serve a healthy warm meal daily according to our nutrition policy, healthy snacks, and provide nappies, wipes and bottle feeding (Nutrilon 1 and 2).
At Basker daycare, your child gets the freedom to develop in an environment that feels safe and familiar. We encourage your child to discover and gain experiences independently, with our pedagogical staff ready to lend a helping hand when needed. We consider it important to (outdoor) exercise and eat varied meals.
