About this care
BLOS Alexander Numankade is a brand new daycare center in the Zeehelden neighborhood of Utrecht. Our modern building at Alexander Numankade 199 offers a surprisingly bright and wonderfully spacious environment where children aged 0 to 4 can feel safe and at home. With a capacity of 48 childcare places, we create a warm community where every child has the space to grow and flourish at their own pace.
Our location is specially designed to meet the needs of young children. The spacious, bright areas offer plenty of opportunities for both quiet moments and active discovery journeys. We believe in an inclusive pedagogical approach where every child is seen and valued in their unique being. Our pedagogical staff are trained professionals who understand how important the early years are for a child's development.
BLOS daycare centers are known for their focus on development from 0-4 years. We provide a familiar environment where children can play, learn and grow. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, specially tailored to the needs of working parents in the city of Utrecht.

The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection report of 17 March 2026 concerns Basker - Alexander Numankade, a daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) in Utrecht with 48 childcare places across four groups. The inspection was an unannounced annual review. The location generally meets the quality requirements of the Childcare Act. One violation was identified: the pedagogical work plan did not match the actual situation regarding available space per group. Group Wolk was registered for 13 children, but the available square meters were only sufficient for 12 children. However, there was no actual exceedance of the number of children. The provider made use of the recovery offer and adjusted the work plan and floor plan. All other assessed areas (personnel, groups, accommodation) met the requirements. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
