Subsidy & costs
Parents are entitled to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) when both the nanny and the care address are registered with the National Childcare Register (Landelijk Register Kinderopvang/LRK). Nanny in Huis guides you through this registration process. Please allow for a processing time of approximately 10 weeks for the LRK registration. You can receive childcare benefit on the hourly rate of €18.99 - €25.99 (depending on number of children). We convert the total fee back to an hourly rate per child so that you can claim benefit per child.
The costs consist of a one-time registration fee of €150.00 for recruitment, selection and risk inventory. If you have found your own nanny, these costs are €75.00. The hourly rate is an all-in rate of €18.99 - €25.99 depending on the number of children, including hourly compensation, nanny holiday allowance and mediation costs. These mediation costs are used for further training, risk inventories, nanny get-togethers and personal guidance. Some municipalities charge administrative fees for the LRK application and GGD inspection.
Trust & screening
Our screening comprises multiple layers: all nannies are personally selected after several interviews and must hold a pedagogy-related qualification at least at MBO level 2. They must possess a VOG (Certificate of Conduct) and first aid certificate. Before starting, we carry out a Risk Inventory for Safety and Health at the care location. The GGD inspects the location during the LRK application, which can take up to 10 weeks.
