About this care
Peuteropvang Bavo is located at Schoollaan 6 in Harmelen and is part of Kind & Co Ludens. We provide small-scale care for a maximum of 8 toddlers aged 2 to 4 years. Our toddler group uses horizontal grouping, so children play with peers of the same age. We focus on learning through play: we do arts and crafts, read aloud, and offer language and numeracy activities aligned with early-education programs. Children can attend either half or full days. Our spacious garden offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor play and discovering nature. We work closely with St. Bavo primary school, ensuring a smooth transition to primary education.Read more

Summary
Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Bavo in Harmelen, part of Stichting Kind & Co Ludens, provides care for a maximum of 8 children aged 2-4 years on Thursdays and Fridays. The annual inspection on 17 July 2025 shows that the location meets requirements in all areas, following two recovery offers. The pedagogical climate, staffing levels, stability, and language of communication (Dutch) are all in order. There were two shortcomings: working hygienically after nappy changing (hand washing and cleaning the changing mat) and the layout of the outdoor space (dirt, weeds, clutter). Both issues were resolved following feedback and action by the location. The municipality of Woerden is advised not to take enforcement action.
