Summary

Kindercentrum Baloe in Rotterdam, part of Stichting PCBO, was inspected on 7 September 2026 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Rotterdam-Rijnmond. This concerned a further investigation into the previously non-compliant topics of pedagogical policy and pedagogical practice. During the annual investigation of 10 April 2026, violations had been identified: the pedagogical policy was not always followed in practice, and there was insufficient emotional safety and stimulation of personal competencies. The location has since implemented improvements, including team consultations, reflection with the pedagogical coach (ve-coach), and a fixed staff team. In this re-investigation, both topics were reassessed and found to be in order. The pedagogical practice demonstrated sensitive, responsive behavior, stimulation of self-reliance, and guidance of social interactions. No recovery offer (herstelaanbod) was made because the violations have already been lifted.
