Babino Sport BSO Roda

Strengths

• Pedagogical practice provides emotional safety, promotes independence and social skills
• Staff know the children and policies well due to transition from after-school care (BSO) De Kroosduiker
• Sufficient indoor and outdoor space for the number of childcare places
• Correct staffing levels and qualifications
• Good provisions for the domestic violence and child abuse reporting code

Shortcomings

• Expand the indoor toy selection for rainy days
• Place a parasol without a beer brand logo to provide shade on the terrace
• Evaluate the safety and health policy within three months of opening

Violations

• Pedagogical policy plan lacked a concrete description of multi-location care on school-free days and method of assigning children to base groups (remedied after recovery offer)
• Safety and health policy was not fully complied with: no thermometer and temperature log in refrigerator, visible beer brand on standing table (remedied after recovery offer)
• Annual complaints report not submitted to the Municipal Health Service (GGD) in a timely manner (not remedied)

Summary

Babino Sport BSO Roda is an after-school care (BSO) for children aged 7 to 13, located at korfbal club Roda in Westzaan. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected the location on 23 June 2026. Most quality requirements are met, including pedagogical practice, staff and groups, safety policy, accommodation, and parent information. There were two recovery offer violations that have since been remedied: the pedagogical policy plan lacked descriptions of multi-location care and group allocation, and the safety policy was not fully complied with (no thermometer in refrigerator, visible beer brand). Additionally, there is one unremedied violation: the annual complaints report was not submitted to the GGD in a timely manner. The GGD advises no enforcement, as this point has already been enforced at another location of the same provider.
