Summary

Municipal Health Service (GGD) Brabant-Zuidoost conducted an inspection on 16 July 2025 at after-school care (BSO) Pionier in Valkenswaard, an after-school care facility of Atalenta Kinderopvang B.V. The inspection took place as part of an application for registration in the National Childcare Register. The location is temporarily housed in primary school De Dorenhagen at Hertog Hendrikstraat 1 due to renovation of the permanent building on Kromstraat. All assessed components meet the statutory requirements: registration, pedagogical policy, staff and groups, safety and health, accommodation, and parental rights. No violations were identified. Several points for attention were discussed: the age composition of the base groups must be stated more explicitly in the pedagogical policy, the safety and health policy must be evaluated once the spaces are furnished, and tools in the group room must be stored safely. The GGD advises the municipality of Valkenswaard to include the location in the national register.
