About this care
BSO Achtbaan is located in primary school De Achtbaan at Akkrumerraklaan 121 in Utrecht. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12, divided into two vertical groups. Thanks to our location within the school building, the transition from school to after-school care feels familiar and smooth for the children.
Our spaces are homely and playfully designed with different corners where children can play, relax or be creative. We offer a varied and challenging activity program with creative activities, sports and games. There's always something fun to do at our after-school care!
We work according to the Pedagogical Heart of Kind&co ludens. This means we provide children with a safe foundation where they feel comfortable and can have fun. We give children confidence and space to discover and be curious. For us, playing is discovering and learning. That's why we actively offer an inspiring and challenging environment. Our childcare is a mini-society where we care for each other and the world around us.

- Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) registration in the Childcare Personnel Register is in order
- Complaints procedure and dispute committee affiliation are arranged

- Paper tissues in the toilet area were not restocked (resolved on site)
- Recommendation to have more staff members obtain a first aid (EHBO) certificate
Summary
GGD inspection of after-school care (BSO) Achtbaan in Utrecht on 18 May 2026. The after-school care facility (44 places, part of Stichting Kind & Co Ludens) meets all assessed quality requirements under the Childcare Act. The safety and health policy is up-to-date and concretely elaborated, including risk assessment and action plans. The child abuse reporting protocol (meldcode) and the duty to report, consult, and file official notifications are in order. There is no parent committee, but the provider meets the obligation to make efforts and involves parents through alternative means. During the previous inspection visit in July 2025, there were violations (no parent committee, reporting protocol and reporting duty), which were resolved through a recovery offer. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
