About this care
Welcome to Zeehelden PG, our small-scale daycare center located in the cozy Paauwenburg neighborhood of Vlissingen. We are just a stone's throw away from the residential areas of Lammerenburg and Rosenburg, making us ideally located for families in the area. As a daycare center, we provide care for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 years, allowing us to create an intimate and homely atmosphere where each child receives the personal attention they deserve.
Our location has been officially registered since October 24, 2016 in the National Childcare Register under number 278674227. We operate under the responsibility of GGD Zeeland and work with a horizontal group structure, where we care for different age groups separately to optimally meet the developmental needs of each child.
At Zeehelden PG, we consider preschool education (VE) very important. We therefore offer structured educational activities that connect with the world of experience of young children. Our pedagogical staff are specially trained to stimulate and guide the development of children in this age category.

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) annual inspection on 10 September 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Zeehelden PG in Vlissingen shows a predominantly positive picture with two significant findings. The accommodation and pedagogical climate (following recovery) comply with legislation and regulations. The early childhood education with the Uk & Puk programme is well organised, with qualified childcare professionals and suitable premises. One violation was identified: teachers from the adjacent Theo Thijssen primary school who structurally cooperated with the toddlers did not all hold a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and were not linked in the Childcare Personnel Register (Personenregister Kinderopvang/PRK). Of eight persons, only three had the correct documentation. The operator resolved this directly on the inspection day by implementing additional measures and completing the registrations. A recovery offer was issued for the pedagogical policy, as the description of structural cooperation with the primary school no longer matched practice; this has been resolved.
