About this care
Welcome to BSO 't Schoapie, located in the beautiful Salland countryside at Raamsweg 47 in Mariënheem. Our after-school care is specially designed for children aged 4 to 12. We offer a unique environment where children can play among animals and run freely in our nature garden. This green and rural setting provides ample space for discovery and adventure after a day at school.
Our BSO works closely with local schools in Mariënheem. The start time of our care is aligned with your child's school schedule, ensuring a seamless transition. We believe it's important for children to unwind in a familiar and safe environment after school, where they can develop freely.
On our spacious grounds, children have the opportunity to explore nature. They can play with the animals on our farm and learn in a playful way about care and respect for other living beings. The combination of outdoor play and interaction with animals makes our BSO a special place for every child.

The annual unannounced inspection by GGD IJsselland on 13 July 2026 shows that after-school care (BSO) 't Schoapie in Mariënheem meets all assessed quality requirements. The agricultural after-school care (BSO), located on a farm with various animals, offers children a rich learning environment. The pedagogical practice is good: children are playfully challenged in motor skills, cognition, language, and social-emotional development. The staff act in accordance with policy, and lines of communication with the owner are short. Safety around animals is well ensured, for example by allowing a maximum of two children in the rabbit hutch at a time and requiring boots. The safety and health policy is up to date, with attention to heat protocols, sun protection, first aid, and evacuation drills. The accommodation more than meets requirements with 295 m² of indoor space and an extensive natural outdoor area. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The advice to the municipality of Raalte is: no enforcement action.
