The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted a registration inspection on 16 March 2026 at Sportstuif Ottersum Gennep, a new after-school care location (BSO) for 40 children aged 4-13 years in the clubhouse of VV Achates. The location meets all assessed legal requirements regarding registration, pedagogical climate, staff, safety and health, accommodation and parental rights. Several practical aspects can only be assessed after opening. The accommodation comfortably exceeds the surface area requirements. Observations were made regarding shielding alcoholic beverages, installing fencing and clearing cigarette butts. No violations were identified and no recovery offer was made. The GGD advises the municipality of Gennep to include the location in the National Childcare Register.
