About this care
Welcome to de Molshoop, the nature-based after-school care (BSO) of Stichting Kinderopvang West-Friesland. We are located in Natuurpark Blokweer at Kloosterhout 1 in Blokker. Our site includes a farm, a natural playground and a large park where children can fully immerse themselves in nature.
Children aged 7 and older who have a swimming certificate and attend any primary school in Hoorn are welcome. We arrange all transportation to and from school. We are open on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 13:30 to 18:30. During school holidays de Molshoop is closed.
Our pedagogical staff provide a varied activity programme centred on nature. Children help on the farm, feed the animals and create crafts such as birdhouses and Christmas decorations. They also regularly visit the natural playground and bake bread rolls over the campfire. There are no additional fees for placement at de Molshoop; you pay the regular BSO rate.

Summary
This inspection report concerns a follow-up inspection on 2 June 2026 at after-school care (BSO) Molshoop in Blokker, part of Stichting Kinderopvang West-Friesland. The inspection focused on a previously identified violation in the area of safety and health policy. During the annual inspection in April 2026, it was found that children were not washing their hands before eating and were not being addressed about this by staff members. This was a repeat of an earlier violation from June 2025. Following an official warning from the municipality, the location implemented measures: group agreements were made, children now report to a pedagogical professional after washing their hands, and visual reminders have been placed on tables. During the follow-up inspection, it was observed that the measures are working: children wash their hands and staff members act in accordance with policy. The violation has been resolved.
