About this care
Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf de Sparkel, a small-scale daycare centre in the Beverwijkse Meent district. We are located at Varenhof 1 in Beverwijk and provide care for up to 26 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our baby-toddler group (0 to 2 years) has space for a maximum of 12 children per day and our preschool group (2 to 4 years) has space for a maximum of 14 children. Because of our small scale, we can give children a real home-like feeling. Homeliness, peace and warmth are central to the design of our location, so you can leave your child with us feeling confident and at ease. We organise daily activities where children can discover, move and play to their heart's content, both indoors and outdoors. Outside, the older children can run, cycle and play. We also have a small private playground with a sheltered play corner for the very youngest. When we need more space, we use the playground of Basisschool de Sparkel. Our permanent team of enthusiastic staff is here for you every weekday from 07:30 to 18:00. Through the Konnect parent app you are always up to date with your child's daily experiences. For more information or a tour, please contact our manager Tessa van der Linden or assistant manager Joyce Hendriks.Read more

Violations
- On 24 March 2025, a trainee staff member was deployed during peak hours without sufficient qualified supervision; this exceeded the 50% rule
Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) Kennemerland conducted an unannounced inspection on 10 April 2025 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) POV de Sparkel in Beverwijk. The location provides toddler care (ages 2–4) and early childhood education for a maximum of 30 children. The pedagogical climate, team qualifications, and first aid provisions were found to be satisfactory. However, it was established that a trainee staff member was deployed during peak hours without sufficient qualified supervision; this constitutes a violation of the staffing requirements. The organisation has accepted the GGD's recovery offer and immediately arranged alternative backup cover. The parent committee is satisfied with the care provided. The GGD advises the municipality to enforce action on the one remaining shortcoming.
