About this care
Welcome to PIT Christian Integrated Child Centre De Meander, located at Witte de Withstraat 46 in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht. We provide a warm, Christian environment where children aged 0 to 4 develop through play. Our daycare is part of the integrated child centre De Meander, guiding children from 0 to 13 years under one roof, by one team, with one shared vision.
We centre everything on the child’s right to develop. Every child has unique talents, and we believe it is our role to discover and nurture these gifts in playful, active ways. We offer a continuous developmental line, working closely with parents and caregivers to give each child exactly what they need. For babies, toddlers and preschoolers we hold development conversations with parents, ensuring we stay attuned to your child’s individual needs.
Our current building on Witte de Withstraat 46 will be demolished in summer 2026. We will then move temporarily to premises on P.C. Hooftsingel. By the end of 2027 we will return to a brand-new, sustainable building on Witte de Withstraat, designed as an accessible, transparent and healthy pavilion filled with daylight, fresh air and views of nature.

Summary
PIT Christian integraal kindcentrum De Meander in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht provides daycare for 45 children in two groups (babies and toddlers) plus a toddler playgroup with subsidized early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie/VE). The unannounced annual inspection visit on 24 June 2025 concludes that the location meets all legal requirements. The pedagogical climate is good: staff work according to the clear policy plan, stimulate broad development (language, numeracy, motor skills, social-emotional) and use a recognized VE program. The accommodation is safe, spacious (163 m² indoor, 650 m² outdoor) and age-appropriately furnished. Staffing meets standards; all employees are qualified, registered in the Childcare Personnel Register and hold a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). Children are placed in fixed groups with familiar faces and their own mentor; careful replacement is arranged during absences. Parent committee and complaints procedure are present and active. No complaints were filed in 2024. The municipal executive is advised not to take enforcement measures.
