Summary

Peperklip is a toddler daycare facility with pre-school education in Schiedam, inspected on 1 April 2025. The pedagogical climate, pre-school education and safety policy are well organised: children receive structured activities, parents are actively involved and the spaces are safely arranged. There are two areas for improvement: staff have insufficient knowledge of the duty to report, consult and file official notifications, and parents have no formal say as there is no parent committee and no alternative has been arranged. As a result, two statutory provisions have been violated. The location has indicated it will provide additional training and review parent participation internally. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality to take enforcement action.
