Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Mijn Blokje on Baarsjesweg in Amsterdam provides places for 36 children in 3 core groups. During the annual inspection on 17 April and 1 May 2025, it was found that all statutory quality requirements are met. The location follows the Gordon and Pikler approach, offers children emotional safety, and structures the day in a predictable manner. All staff are qualified, hold a Certificate of Conduct (VOG), and receive monthly coaching. There is a clear pedagogical policy and safety policy, parents are well informed, and the parent committee is satisfied with developments. During the first visit, a child was placed in a bouncer seat for too long and staff mainly used negative correction; these points had been resolved by the second visit: the child was given more freedom of movement and staff named desired behaviour. The outdoor space was initially untidy but has been cleared up. The municipality is advised to take note of the report.
