About this care
Mammy Daycare is a warm and small-scale daycare centre located at Lodewijk van Deysselstraat 99 in Amsterdam’s Nieuw-West district. Since 14 November 2012 we have been offering loving, individual care to a maximum of 9 children aged 0 to 4 years. Thanks to our deliberately small group size we can provide true tailor-made attention, making every child feel at home in one big family.
Our setting features a lovely back garden and borders a large grass field and playground, giving children plenty of space to play and explore. We do lots of arts and crafts both indoors and outdoors, and we spark their imagination with dress-up parties and little theatre performances. We believe that play and creativity are the engines of development, and that children flourish best in a safe, homely environment.

Summary
Mammy Daycare is a daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) in Amsterdam with 9 places for children aged 0 to 4 years. Multiple violations were identified during the annual inspection on 9 June 2026 in the areas of pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and safety and health. A recovery offer followed on 14 July 2026. Three violations regarding policy descriptions were resolved, but multiple violations regarding policy implementation remained. During both visits, the staff member provided insufficient structure, did not follow the settling-in policy, and did not work hygienically during nappy changing. The organization makes extensive use of interns and support staff with unclear task division. A child from the after-school care (BSO) was present unregistered at the daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV). The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality to take enforcement action for the unresolved violations.
